Nehir Canıgür Bavbek

Prof. Dr. Nehir Canıgür Bavbek graduated as valedictorian from Gazi University Faculty of Dentistry in 2007 and completed her PhD in Orthodontics at the same institution in 2012. In 2013, she continued her academic work as a visiting scholar at the University of Florida College of Dentistry under a YÖK scholarship. She was appointed Associate Professor in 2017 and Professor in 2023, and has been serving as Head of the Department of Orthodontics at Gazi University since 2025.

She is an active member of EOS, IADR, and the Turkish Orthodontic Society, and serves on the executive board of the Turkish Orthodontic Society for the 2024-2026 term. Prof. Dr. Canıgür Bavbek is also the Section Editor for Orthodontics at Acta Odontologica Turcica. Her primary research interests include clear aligner therapy and the relationship between orthodontics, airway, and sleep apnea.
