Barış Aydil

Prof. Dr. Barış Altuğ Aydil was born in Istanbul in 1975 and graduated from Istanbul University, Çapa Faculty of Medicine. He completed his PhD in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the same institution with a thesis titled “The Relationship Between Facial Fractures, Trauma, and Genetics.” He was appointed Associate Professor in 2013 and Professor in 2022, and currently continues his academic career at Istanbul University.

His international experience includes training at Humboldt University Charité Hospital in Berlin and UCLA, where he worked with the cleft lip and palate team. He has extensive clinical experience in maxillofacial trauma, facial fractures, facial injuries, and facial tumor surgery. He is a member of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and serves as a scientific reviewer on the editorial board of the National Trauma and Emergency Surgery Journal.
